  Atlanta House offers a wide range of facilities to ensure a residents every comfort, fully equipped bedrooms and a menu to suit every taste.
 

43 residents - 12 single rooms - 14 double rooms - 1 treble room - ensuite facilities - personal effects - TV points & phones in rooms - suitable for wheelchairs - lift to all floors - fire alarm - emergency lighting - nurse call facility - category of residents: long/short-term stay, geriatric, post-operative, convalescent, physically disabled, holday stay , terminal care.

 

Bedrooms

There is a mixture of bedrooms on all floors. These include private, doubles and a three bedded room many with en-suite facilities. Noeleen always ensures the type of room and the person sharing are compatible. The bedrooms are all very spacious.

Each of the very cosy rooms are double glazed, have individually controllable central heating, plenty of storage space, comfortable bedside chairs and either quality fitted carpets or safety flooring depending on their use.

A telephone and television ( showing RTE and Cable ) is supplied in each room . All bedrooms are tastefully decorated in individual styles. Long staying residents are encouraged to bring their own bedroom furniture and other items to give their rooms a very personal, comfortable touch.

Every room has a reading light, a night light and nurse call system on the central control panel within easy reach of the comfortable bed. All beds are of a very comfortable adjustable Hospital style to help make residents as comfortable as possible.

Water mattresses are used where required. High cot sides are available for those who may need them. Standard bedding is usually used although duvets are available depending on a persons preference.
Bed linen is changed every week or as often as required. Every room has a washand basin and all have drinking water.

All floors are supplied with large bathrooms, excellent wheelchair accessible showers and plenty of toilets which are adapted for easy use. A commode is provided in each bedroom when needed.

One of the bathrooms has a central bath to allow staff to assist residents. All bathing is discreetly supervised by a staff member. Bathing is encouraged at least once per week or, of course, as often as needed or requested.
