Bedrooms
There is a mixture of bedrooms on all floors. These include
private, doubles and a three bedded room many with en-suite
facilities. Noeleen always ensures the type of room and
the person sharing are compatible. The bedrooms are all
very spacious.
Each of the very cosy rooms are double glazed, have individually
controllable central heating, plenty of storage space,
comfortable bedside chairs and either quality fitted carpets
or safety flooring depending on their use.
A telephone and television ( showing RTE and Cable ) is
supplied in each room . All bedrooms are tastefully decorated
in individual styles. Long staying residents are encouraged
to bring their own bedroom furniture and other items to
give their rooms a very personal, comfortable touch.
Every room has a reading light, a night light and nurse
call system on the central control panel within easy reach
of the comfortable bed. All beds are of a very comfortable
adjustable Hospital style to help make residents as comfortable
as possible.
Water mattresses are used where required. High cot sides
are available for those who may need them. Standard bedding
is usually used although duvets are available depending
on a persons preference.
Bed linen is changed every week or as often as required.
Every room has a washand basin and all have drinking water.
All floors are supplied with large bathrooms, excellent
wheelchair accessible showers and plenty of toilets which
are adapted for easy use. A commode is provided in each
bedroom when needed.
One of the bathrooms has a central bath to allow staff
to assist residents. All bathing is discreetly supervised
by a staff member. Bathing is encouraged at least once
per week or, of course, as often as needed or requested.
